About Zoë Cousens
The Founder of the Women’s Investment Network (“WIN”) is Zoë Cousens, an Independent Investment Consultant with more than 30 years’ experience in wealth management.
Zoë is a senior investment professional who started her career in 1986 as one of the first women to work in the London Stock Exchange. The majority of her career was spent as an Investment Manager in Guernsey where she also worked as a Consultant to the Island’s Regulator and as the in-house Investment Consultant for a global law firm. For 5 years she was a Non-Executive Director of a wealth management group with offices in Mayfair and Dubai. She also set up a Guernsey pension scheme which out-performed its benchmarks for the seven years under her management.
In 2015, she relocated to Dubai where she established her independent investment audit business to provide bespoke portfolio analysis to fiduciary companies and HNW families & individuals. In 2017 she founded the Women’s Investment Network which seeks to inspire women to become financially informed by sharing expert knowledge, with the aim of promoting financial literacy and money management skills. More recently she founded Talking Money Matters, a Financial Wellness Program for companies to offer their staff to empower them to make informed financial decisions.
On moving to Dubai, Zoë was appointed as a Member of the UAE National Advisory Board of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, and she was the first Middle East Representative for Guernsey Finance. She has 8 years’ international commercial and not-for-profit Board experience gained in Guernsey and the UAE as well as 5 years’ Chair experience in the charity sector. She has also achieved a number of professional awards and became a regular speaker & moderator as well as being published & interviewed in the UAE & UK media.
She is qualified in investment management and international trust management, and has an extensive network of professionals in centres such as Monaco, Geneva, the GCC, London and the Channel Islands.
Recent professional awards include the Wealthbriefing GCC Region – Women in Wealth Management Editor’s Prize, the Women In Finance Investment Consultant of the Year and the CMO Asia GCC’s Women Leadership Award. She is also accredited as a 5*Member of the Citywealth Leaders List and was shortlisted for the Citywealth Powerwomen 2019 Woman of the Year – Business Services.
Zoë has also been featured in publications such as Khaleej Times, Banker Middle East, Equity Invest In Yourself, Executive Woman and the CISI Review.
